Listen up! Kids can
listen to their favorite books while they read with a new playaway
bookpack, now available at the Main and Warmack Libraries. A bookpack
comes with 4 or 5 children's books, plus an audiobook of all those
books. The audiobook is a playaway - a self-contained unit with no tapes
or discs. Just pop a AAA battery in, plug in your headphones, and
you're all set. Kids can listen to stories about their favorite
characters, like Arthur, Amelia Bedelia, Clifford the Big Red Dog, and
Strega Nona.While
the Shotwell Branch doesn't currently carry bookpacks, they have nearly
60 children and young adults' playaways for checkout.
