The Main Library and the Betty Warmack Library will be showing a movie for adults (it's not an adult movie....let's just get that out of the way).

For licensing reasons, we can't advertise the title, but.....

Director/screenwriter George Clooney tells the story of legendary newscaster Edward R. Murrow, who confronted the anti-Communist witch-hunting of Sen. Joseph McCarthy, and emerged as a triumphant truth-seeker against the abuses of corporate and governmental power.

This movie will be shown at the Main Library at 1 pm on Friday, June 9. It will be shown at the Betty Warmack Branch at 7 pm on Thursday, June 29.

The Grand Prairie Library System has 3 book discussion groups that are always open to new members.
The Mystery Readers' Club meets on the second Thursday of the month at the Main Library. They read a variety of mystery novels, including cozies, American, British, psychological thrillers, and many more.
The Readers' Club meets on the fourth Monday of the month, at the Main Library. They discuss literary works. Past selections have included The Life of Pi, and The Goldern Globe.
