The Grand Prairie Library System has 3 book groups that are always open to new members.

At the Main Library, the Mystery Readers' Club meets at 7 pm on the second Thursday of each month. They read a wide variety of mystery novels, including cozies, American, English, series titles, psychological thrillers, and more.

The Readers' Club also meet at the Main Library. At their meetings at 7:30 on the fourth Monday, they discuss more literary works. Past selections have included Life of Pi and The Secret Life of Bees.

The Betty Warmack Readers' Guild meets at 7 pm on the second Monday at the Warmack Branch. They read a wide variety of modern novels, including Girl with a Pearl Earring, and The Great Train Robbery.
