Dallas Public Library - 25th Birthday Celebration. DPL is celebrating their anniversary with 25 hours (noon Friday, April 20 through 1 pm Saturday, April 21) of fun activities that include concerts, lectures, contests, scavenger hunts, storytimes, and movies. Of interest to genealogists: On Friday, April 20, the Dallas Library Genealogy Dept. will have a sale of their duplicate materials, in order to buy new materials. The sale is from 6 pm to midnight (and they'll even throw in free parking)!
