The Grand Prairie Library's Edible Book Festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, at the Main Library, 901 Conover Drive. An Edible Book Festival is an exploration of books and reading through FOOD! Participants create an entry that embodies a book or represents readers or reading. Judges will choose winners in the categories of Most Artistic, Most Creative, or Best Use of Theme. Young entrants could also win Best Entry By a Child.
Stop by to view the creative and tasty (or sometimes not) creations. Want to enter? Find your inspiration in the library or on your bookshelves – and get cooking! Entries should be created primarily from food, and represent a book, reading, or readers. It's free to enter! Please have your edible book at the Main Library by 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 14. Judging will be at 1 p.m.
